All great things come together with a plan

Hello everyone!

It has been a month since we have posted on update here on the blog. Our Spare Dollar Fundraiser closes in a few days. We have raised $200 to date through that fundraiser, and have an overall goal of $3,000 to raise for the Charles Pettitt Restoration Fund. We are also sending out letters to local businesses asking them to partner with us and help contribute to the restoration fund.

We are also wrapping up our grant application for the Women’s Fund. Should we get this grant, our class offerings in 2022 will explode. We currently have about three class schedule drafts we are working on. We will post the scaled back class schedule to the website and our social media accounts once we have approved that in the next few months. Once we hear back as to whether we have received grant funds, we will either add classes, or post an update.

The Robert Cox paintings in our collection are being cleaned and clear coated. Some are being restored because there is minor paint loss, and a few others will be getting new frames or framed. We are hoping to see these works completed in the next month. Once we have them back, we will begin to plan some pop up art events. We are looking at holding Wine and Sip events, Lady’s Night events, as well as a few tea parties to help us purchase a travel trailer and find a permanent home.

Stay tuned for more as we continue to grow! Thank you so much to everyone for your support and help as we continue on this journey.
